OUR HISTORY
Established in the Spring of 2015, our urgent care offers North Rockland and the surrounding communities a walk-in medical care facility that opens early, closes late, and will be open 365 days a year including evenings and holidays! Rockland County Urgent Care Family Health NP, P.C. has been a proud supporter of local organization and community events since our opening. We feel fortunate to have the opportunity to serve our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Since opening our doors, we have grown in order to accomodate the needs of the surrounding community, and are thankful for your continued trust and support.
Conveniently located on 9W in West Haverstraw, next to Wendy's and Taco Bell, Rockland Urgent Care Family Health NP, P.C.’s goal is to provide high quality healthcare to all patients of all ages! With dedicated pediatric and adult exam rooms, and dedicated treatment rooms for more complex injuries, our clinicians and staff are ready to treat illnesses and injuries ranging from colds and coughs, to stitches and fractures.
To accommodate the growing needs of the community, Rockland Urgent Care Family Health NP, P.C. is proud to partner with Genesis Medical Health to offer primary care services, conveniently located at our location.

ROCKLAND URGENT CARE MAINTAINS A CATEGORY 2 CERTIFIED URGENT CARE CENTER DESIGNATION WITH THE URGENT CARE ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
What Is A Certified Urgent Care Designation? This facility has received the Certified Urgent Care designation. It has met certain national criteria that tell you, the patient, about the center, services they offer and when they are available. What criteria has this facility met?
The Urgent Care Association of American (UCAOA) was founded in 2004 and represents the 9,000+ centers that make up the industry.
UCAOA serves an international field, joining together urgent care centers in the USA and the additional centers across the world including Australia, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Mexico and New Zealand. Certification is not a representation, warranty or guarantee to any patient, individual or entity regarding the care provided or the services rendered.
The facility maintains sole responsibility for insuring that the conditions of certification continue to be met during any year of certification. If you have questions about the certification criteria, please contact UCAOA at certification@ucaoa.org
- It advertises and accepts walk-in patient of all ages for a broad spectrum of illness, injury and disease at all times. Some centers are allowed to only treat children, if they identify themselves as a pediatric only center in their facility name.
- It provides x-ray services on site.
- It has a laboratory and can do many lab tests on site.
- The licensed providers working there are able to perform the following:
- Advanced cardiac life support in an emergency, while 911 is called
- Obtain and read an EKG and x-ray
- Administer oral, intramuscular and intravenous medication and fluids
- Perform minor procedures (like sutures, cyst removals, incisions and drainage).
- The following equipment is available and the staff are trained in its use:
- Automated external defibrillator (AED) or standard defibrillator
- Oxygen and emergency breathing equipment
- Drug cart with some emergency medications
- Working phone to dial 911.
- It has two or more exam rooms, a separate waiting area and restricted access patient restrooms, for privacy during more extensive visits.
- The facility meets the following minimum hours of operation:
- Open 7 days a week (not including national holidays)
- Open 4 or more hours each day
- A licensed physician (MD/DO) has been designated as the facility’s medical director. That person is responsible for overall clinical quality.
- The facility attests that it provides clinical care and performs business activities in an ethical manner.
- Category 2 means there may be other kinds of providers (like nurse practitioners or physician assistants) on-site during all posted hours of operation instead of or in addition to physicians.
