If I already have a primary care provider can I still seek treatment at Rockland Urgent Care?
Yes. Rockland Urgent Care is designed to treat your urgent needs. When you are unable to make an appointment with your primary care physician or if your illness or injury is above the PCP’s capabilities Rockland Urgent Care is here. We are able to provide some of the same services a hospital Emergency Room can with a much shorter wait time.
Do I need a referral from my doctor’s office?
Since we are an urgent care, no referral is necessary to be seen at Rockland Urgent Care. However, if you do not see your insurance listed under our accepted insurance plans, please contact your insurance carrier to verify eligibility and what may be required before you are seen here.
Does my primary care Provider have access to my visit at your facility?
We like to keep open relationships with primary care providers. That being said, Rockland Urgent Care would like to send an electronic copy of your medical chart and any pertinent information to your primary care provider if you agree. We also encourage our patients to follow up with their pcp after their visit with us.
Do you perform annual physicals or treat chronic conditions?
No, we cannot perform annual physicals, those must be done by your primary care physician. Chronic conditions must be monitored by a specialist and your primary care physician. If you have an exacerbation or your chronic condition that needs immediate treatment then we can provide that for you.
Is Rockland Urgent Care affiliated with any local hospitals or physician groups?
Rockland Urgent Care is a privately owned urgent care and we are not partnered with any hospital or group. However, we do maintain close relationships with both Nyack Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. We have also maintained friendships with local primary care physicians and specialists that we can refer to when necessary.
